Fess Parker Rest In Peace

Fess Parker died this morning. He was born 8-16-1924
Died 3-18 -2010.
He seemed to me as a child and growing up. It seemed like he was The King Of The Wild Frontier. I never realized at times he was not the real Davy Crockett. He played that part so well.
And later on as Daniel Boone. It was his role on the tv show Daniel Boon that I had gotten interested in Fort Boonesbourgh, Ky. Which we have visited. Even took our dog Lad with us. We walked over acres and acres of the land the real Daniel Boone walked. Fess Parker had wonderful family values And even though he made several movies. He will be remembered as a wonderful congressman also from his state.

I was sorry to hear that Fess died today. I, too, loved Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone as a child. He will be missed. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Several of my friends told me when they found out about his passing. They sat down and cried and cried. And I did also. I am so glad I was added to his facebook though.
He was a wonderful actor with great conservative values also.
Darby Hinton is also on Facebook. He added me as a friend yesterday there.
