I noticed that Clint Walker (Cheyenne), Ty Hardin (Bronco) and Will Hutchins (Sugarfoot) are riding into the Memphis Western Film Festival. It sure would be nice to see Peter Brown (Lawman) and James Garner (Maverick) join these other Warner Bros. Legends. Wouldn't that be awesome to get them all back together again.

That would be cool for sure. I didn't know if John Russell is still living or not. Is he? Clint Walker and Will Hutchins have been before one of our stars at our Roy Rogers Festival in Portsmouth, Ohio. This year for our festival it will be actor James Drury. Which will be great for sure. I would like to come to the one in Memphis at least one day. And I do know I will be at The Roy Rogers Festival for sure. I am one of the committee members. ;D

Sandy,
John Russell died of pneumonia on Jan. 19, 1991 he was 70 years young. I have been told that James Garner has recently had some health issues so its not likely he will be at the festival. I believe that the only Warner Bros. Cowboys left are Clint Walker (Cheyenne), Ty Hardin (Bronco), Will Hutchins (Sugarfoot), Peter Brown (Lawman), James Garner (Maverick) and Donald May ( Colt .45) He starred in some of the Colt .45 episodes as Sam Colt Jr.

Thank you so much for giving me the information on John Russell and the others also. I sent you a message I am Angels4BobSeger on aol. I volunteered for Bob Seger's 2006 and 2007 tour. Just to do some work for Bob like so many others did across the USA. Wasn't Clint Walker married to Valerie? Or is that his daughter's name? Thanks

Valerie is Clint's daughter; she's a retired airline pilot. Valerie's mom was Clint's 1st wife, Verna. His 2nd wife was named Giselle (died from cancer). Current wife (since 1997) is Susan; I understand she usually comes to the festivals with him & is a very sweet lady. Looking forward to meeting her, too.
